About

Dr. Unsal Sigri is an Assoc. Prof. of Management and has been working as a faculty member at the Turkish Military Academy, Ankara, Turkey since 1998. He got his Ph.D. degree from Marmara University, Istanbul and did his postdoctoral studies in Bittner School of Business, St.John Fisher College, Rochester, NY. He also worked as a visiting professor in the Azerbaijan Military Academy, Baku, Azerbaijan in 2001 and as a research scholar at St.John Fisher College, Rochester, NY, U.S. in 2010. Dr. Unsal Sigri is recipient of a research grant for post-docs from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) in 2010.

Dr. Sigri teaches Management, Leadership, Group Dynamics, Cross Cultural Management, Conflict Resolution, Negotiation, and Mediation in Turkish Military Academy. Besides, he gives courses, lectures and seminars in universities, military and civilian academic environments, including universities in Ankara, Partnership for Peace (PfP) Training Center-Ankara, NATO Centre of Excellence Defense against Terrorism-Ankara and Department of Defense and some other military and civilian institutions.

Dr. Sigri has worked in some international project groups like NATO Working Group on Individual Training and Educational Developments (1999-2004) and Defense Academies Consortium on Partnership for Peace Countries (2001-2004). Besides his experiences on management and organizational development within the national level, Dr Sigri also participated in various development projects within international organizations like United Nations (UN), European Union (EU) and NATO.

He has authored books and articles nationally and internationally on management, conflict management, negotiation, strategic management, organizational behavior, cross-cultural diversity, systems dynamics, and military sociology issues. He is currently a professor at the Department of Business in Turkish Military Academy, Ankara.
